Beverly Ayling-Smith

Dr. Beverly Ayling-Smith is an artist and researcher. Her doctoral research examined how cloth can be used as a metaphor for loss and how it can connect with the emotions of the viewer. Her recent work reflects on the intense emotions and natural processes that occur when we are in contact with bedlinens. Whilst we strive to launder them and keep them clean, they hold the memories of the events for which they have been a silent witness.
