Consuelo Simpson
Consuelo Simpson is an artist and maker as interested in the making process as in the final outcome. Her practice explores the notion that making is a dialogue with material in which both maker and matter are active participants. The work, sculpture, print and textiles, is in a state of perpetual becoming, carrying with it the potential for change, seeking neither perfection nor an end. The work is bound with thoughts proposing the idea of finding contentment in simply being of this world.
